Role Description

Palanca in Via de Cristo is the prayers and sacrifices we raise up and offer to God voluntarily as a
spiritual force to overcome resistances in the lives of others and us. First and foremost, Palanca is prayer, a dialog
with God. We also provide love letters, cards and items as visible expressions of the prayer and sacrifices which are bathed in prayer to be some of the levers (Palanca) that the Lord uses to encourage and equip His servants to accomplish His works. Palanca is a part of the mystery of Faith.

One of the best gifts we can receive for a weekend are the prayers and blessings from other communities known as Wall Palanca. Best practices for Wall Palanca is to address the letter to the Pilgrims of the Weekend without putting a date on the letter. You can use scripture verses, colorful artwork, words of encouragement, prayers, signatures from your 4th Day Members or any combination of those suggestions.
