NLS Executive Committee Meeting
Monday, May 18, 2020

Present: Wendy Showalter, President, Debbie Klatt, VP of Administration, Lindsey Daugherty, VPO, Rev. Sue Beall, Spiritual Director, Jeanne Gaston, Secretary, James Ryan, Treasurer, Brian Schwarz, Executive Director

Call to Order 7:05 PM CT

Opening Prayer led by Debbie

Welcome Brian as Executive Director

Approval of the March Minutes with a Motion made by Jim, 2nd by Debbie and approved.


Old Business

Executive Board Elections – One additional nomination form received for SD besides Pastor Sue. So far Jim and Debbie are the only nominees for Treasurer and VPA.

Laity Rollo Committee – Updated Rollos through Study will be submitted to the board by July. We should have all new outlines by December.

Potential Name Change Committee – This has been tabled for the time being.

Potential Bylaw Feedback – There were no changes to Article One so it was not included.

Website – Lindsay will review the wellness checklist, Debbie will review the AG Host Guidelines and Jeanne will review Palanca and send to Rick.


Reports

Sue – Doing daily prayers and posting to Facebook.

Debbie – Working on Webinar for AG. Jeanne will redo the evaluation of the event to meet the changes we have made.

Jeanne – Will be sending out a reminder for Delegates to the AG. These were due by May 1st.

Jim – Annual Dues – Still don’t have a good contacts for many of the Secretariats. We need better information to input into Constant Contact so we have valid contacts.

Lindsay – Region 1 RC is in place. Still looking for RCs for Region 6 and 7.

Eric is our current Webmaster and works on the NLS Communications Team. Raised in Judaism, he found Christ and the New Testament at age 16 in a Southern Baptist Church. He searched many denominations for the real church, only to find the Holy Spirit is present in all of them. He's worked for One for Israel, a group of native Israeli believers who are sharing the gospel in the holy land in Hebrew and is part of the only Hebrew speaking seminary in Israel.
