For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.

He who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true. He knows that he tells the truth, that you may believe.

Do this, as often as you drink, in memory of me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

Hosanna, Hosanna, Hosanna in the highest, Lord, we lift up your name, with our hearts full of praise, Be exalted, O Lord, my God, Hosanna in the highest! 

Jesus made it clear that he had been sent by God. This deeply rattled some of those who believed in him, but were hesitant to become his disciples. We must not only believe in Jesus, but we must also learn from him.

While we were dead in our transgression and could do nothing to save ourselves, God took action and sent Jesus to die on the cross, rise from the dead, and offer us salvation.

The Beatitudes Seeing the multitudes, he went up onto the mountain. When he had sat down, his disciples came to him. He opened his mouth and taught them, saying,  Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled....

The love of one’s child is not lost on God. In the Baptism of Jesus, we hear God’s voice clearly stating, “This is my beloved Son.”

What a glorious week we just shared – Ash Wednesday, an open Forum for Secretariat Leadership, and our first National Ultreya!

Per our Five-Year-Plan commitment, we have created two new committees to serve the secretariats and the Via de Cristo Ministry:  Technology and Communications.
