Jesus made it clear that he had been sent by God.
This deeply rattled some of those who believed in him, but were hesitant to become his disciples. We must not only believe in Jesus, but we must also learn from him.
It is not enough to say, “I am a Christian,” without allowing his words to live in us. It is not enough to be devout in our prayer life; we must let our faith in him influence the rest of our lives as well. We must be Christian, not just in name, but in fact.
As we approach the end of our Lenten Season, have we tried to live our faith better? Have we not only come to Jesus, but actually listened to him in a way that is open to change? Have we made his Father, our Father too?
If we know the truth, that the Father has sent him to us to become his children, then the truth will set us free. Free to live as God wants us to live.
